The tremendous developments in communication technology, computer networks, and information technology have given the impetus to the Internet revolution. This has opened up a huge array of innovative teaching and learning possibilities. Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has transformed the whole atmosphere of teaching and learning of each topic in every subject impressively. The pedagogy has touched a new height in terms of interactivity, flexibility, and convenience in ICT supported environment. This enables both teachers and students to access and share ideas and information in a variety of communication channels and methods.
1.In addition to the chalk and talk method of teaching, the faculty members are using IT-enabled learning tools such as PPT, Video clippings, Audio systems, online sources, to encourage the students to acquire advanced knowledge and interesting practical learning. 2. This is made possible by providing comfortably furnished state of the art classrooms with LCD/OH Projectors/ high-end Computers manned by computer savvy faculty members. 3. Highly competent faculty members continuously use innovative teaching resources in ICT enabled classrooms. They motivate students in whole-heartedly participating in an interactive learning process. They are involved in presentation of seminars, research papers, debates, group discussions, online tests/quiz/viva-voce, hands-on experiments, projects and laboratory experiments.
1. All the students and staff of the College are members of the College Library. 2. The Library is kept open from 8.30 a.m. to 5.40 p.m. with 'no break' on all days except Sundays and Government Holidays. 3. Library Cards are issued to all students on admitted in the College. 4. All UG and PG students are provided with TWO library cards for borrowing books. 5. Only one book can be borrowed against each card. 6. The staff members have to borrow the books personally from the library and information centre and not through the students. 7. Library cards are NOT transferable. 8. BAR-CODED identity Card will be provided to all the members. The members should bring the identity Card and scan the same in the Scanner kept at the reception. Scanning the bar-coded identity card is must to enter into the library. 9. Books can be borrowed only when the bar-coded identity card and the library card are produced together. 10. Students are allowed to keep books for two weeks from the date of issue.
The College has a fleet of 50 buses to transport students and staff from various parts of the city and its neighbouring areas to the College and back home. College bus facility is available to every student. Every student is expected to avail the transport facility to enable her to be punctual to the College. Besides the regular scheduled trips, the facility is extended for occasions like after the College hour Special Coaching classes, Placements and Training, Industrial Visits, NSS Camps, etc.
