The Department of Biotechnology was established in the Academic year 2023-2034. Our department educates the students on the most recent developments in the fields of medicine and health, In order to empowerthem to meet the industrial demands and also to excelin the research with analytical, creative, and problem-solving abilities.

Vision:

• To create a Centre of Excellence in the field of education, research, training and entrepreneurship in Biotechnology byway of providing scientific principles, quality teaching and thrust for improvement.

Mission:

• To maintain a high standard of teaching through innovative pedagogy, instilling in students the ability to be lifelong learners, and continuously upgrading the curriculum in both UG degree and higher degree courses on line with international standards of biological education and to meet the requirement of industry and research community.
• To provide a flexible, accommodative and conducive environment for faculty members to flourish in teaching and research.
• To create opportunities and a supporting infrastructure for students – through laboratory courses, projects, dissertations, and possible entrepreneurial ventures in biotechnology to achieve their aspirations.
• To contribute societal outreach by inviting students from other institutions to work in the Department and internship programmes and organize workshops/short-term courses relevant to the contemporary expectations in the biotechnological industries and R&D facilities
